Sustainable social capital is a form of prosperity that is built most effectively within neighborhoods. A neighborhood is a part of an urban area in which perhaps 150 - 800 people can know each other and interact with each other regularly.
Description and Targets
A NewVistas community is intentionally laid out to create natural neighborhoods of 150-800 people. Smaller neighborhoods of 150-200 people are called villages. Larger neighborhoods comprised of 4 villages each are called districts.
